With a built-in TÜV/GS-certified back protector, this pack gives junior shredders added safety on the gnarliest of trails. The removable SAS-TEC back protector with multiple impact protection (depending on the severity of the impact) prevents injuries. High-set hip fins create a snug, secure fit – no matter how rough the ride. And during rest breaks, a full-face helmet and protection equipment are quickly strapped to the outside of the pack.

MATERIAL:
600D PES Coat
- A high-quality and extremely robust TPU material that is highly tear resistant through fabric reinforcement and waterproof due to the closed surface. The closed surface reduces abrasion and, thus, the wear and tear of the material considerably. We use the material in different qualities – 620, 420 and 210 denier. Depending on the mechanical stress, the material can vary in the strength of the coating, the surface structure and single or double-sided coating. It is used, in particular, for our backpacks in areas of higher mechanical stress or increased moisture. The material is PVC-free and, therefore, lighter than comparable fabrics. It remains elastic even in extreme conditions.
225D PES Ripstop
- This polyester fabric is light and robust. Thanks to the RipStop structure, it is far more robust than you would think at first glance. The matte appearance and technical look make it a winner amongst our urban day packs. The fabric is PU coated on the reverse and has a water column of 1500 mm.
- * D stands for denier. This describes the yarn weight. 600D corresponds to 600 grams per 9000 meters.
- * PES stands for polyester. PES fibres are very tear and abrasion resistant and hardly absorb moisture.
- * PA stands for polyamide. PA fibres are extremely durable and abrasion-resistant. They are also characterized by high elasticity and low weight.

TÜV/GS certified protector backpacks
- To actually be allowed to call itself a protector, a protective device must pass stringent tests. The Attack was tested and certified by TÜV SÜD Product Service GmbH (0123) in accordance with the 89/686EWG guideline for personal protective equipment. The residual force value determined for shock-absorbing properties complies with the European standard EN 1621-1* for back protectors.
PFC FREE
- This deuter product is free of per- & polyfluorinated chemicals. deuter thus reduces the use of environmentally harmful substances that pollute the environment and health.
- PFC is used, among other things, as a coating for rain protection, as they have water-, dirt- and grease-repellent properties.
- Instead, deuter now uses DWR (Durable Water Repellency) impregnation that is harmless to health and the environment.
Velomotion Quality Label
- The bottom line is that the Deuter Attack 8 JR is a very well thought-out protector backpack for children from a height of 1.40 cm. Since the riding ability is also decisive in deciding whether the backpack is suitable for my child, we recommend the backpack for children who can safely ride a 24-inch MTB. So this protector backpack is optimal for sporty and adventurous kids who love to ride on trails or in the bike park. But also for smaller ladies with narrow backs, the Attack 8 JR is the right protector backpack an alternative not to be underestimated.
- Due to the SAS-TEC back protector and the robust materials, the Deuter Attack 8 JR is a little heavier with 1010 g, but this is absolutely justifiable by the increase in safety and the many thoughtful features of the backpack. Also, the price is a bit higher than average, but this is justified among other things by the durability of the backpack. For all the reasons mentioned so far, we have decided to rate the Deuter Attack 8 JR with the grade very good and to award the backpack the Velomotion seal of approval.
