The Nostatic mat II improved, is one of the bestselling Tonar record turntable accessories. The mat is made of a combination of felt mixed with carbon fibers. The felt cushions the record and damps the vibrations caused by acoustic feedback to the record players from the speakers and other vibrations coming from outside. The mat is 2 mm thick. The carbon fibers collect the static charge from the record and conduct it back to earth due to the contact with the center spindle as well as with the platter.

Pokud by vás stejně jako mně napadlo otočit podložku (asi) karbonovou stranou nahoru aby jste se nemuseli dívat na ten podivný žlutý štítek tak budete z desky pracně dostávat spoustu chuchvalců...

I am giving one star only for the antistatic properties of the material. Overall, the slipmat is a piece of s**t, after one use the disc will be full of fibers which don’t come off easily at all. I tried with a carbon brush, no result. The disc is destroyed until I find a way to wash it with a special solution. I’m very disappointed with this product.
