The FBT PROMaxX 114A is a 14-inch active two-way full-range loudspeaker built for working DJs, touring bands, houses of worship and rental companies that need serious SPL from a single self-powered cabinet. Inside the polypropylene enclosure sits a custom 14" woofer with a 3" voice coil and a 1.4" B&C compression driver featuring a 2.5" voice coil, powered by a 700 W Class D low-frequency amplifier and a 200 W Class H/AB high-frequency stage. Achieve a clean 135.5 dB peak SPL across a 45 Hz to 20 kHz bandwidth, with enough headroom to cover a 150-person venue full-range or stand atop an 18" sub stack for club-level events.

Two engineering details push this cabinet ahead of typical 14"/15" active models. The DSP section is unusually deep for this price point, offering six factory presets (Original/Live, Vocal, DJ, Touring, Loudness, Warm), two user-editable slots (each with five parametric EQs), a variable high-pass filter (80–140 Hz), three-band tone section, mic/line switching, up to 3.5 m adjustable delay, and a switchable MAX-SPL/MAX-QUALITY limiter. Flexibility is further enhanced by a 90° H x 60° V constant-directivity horn and three wedge angles (12°, 40°, 55°), so it works as a front-of-house top, a stage wedge or a delay fill without re-rigging.

Power and Amplification On Stage
