Limited edition of the KHDK's most evil pedal to date that comes in Candy Apple Red colour design and delivers an angry, merciless distortion with distinctly amp-like sound. The tone of this pedal is tube-like and mid-heavy with added high gain. Richly articulate and deep, it can provide the main tone into the clean amp and is ideal as a fly rig and a backup to an amp or modelling rig. With its high gain and aggressive, uncompromising dynamics, this is the ultimate pedal for gain-freaks, designed both for palm muting riffs and searing high gain solos. It is built on KHDK's original circuit combining solid state and mosfet technology. In classic metal fashion, a treble booster was added to the front end of the circuit to push the tone to the limit. The pedal provides various controls including Doom for pre-distortion equalization, Gate for background noise of the tone, Gain for controlling the gain of the circuit, Treble that acts like a passive, natural sounding low-pass filter, Volume and Lo/Hi that is tied directly into the gain and offers two steps of gain. It is powered by a single 9V battery or an external 9V DC (centre negative) power supply.
