Orange Crush Bass 100 — 100W Analogue Combo for Stage and Studio
\nThe Orange Crush Bass 100 is a 100-watt analogue bass combo amp built for players who want stage-ready power and the unmistakable Orange character. Built around a fully analogue signal path and a redesigned 15" speaker, this flagship of the Crush Bass range delivers deep lows, punchy mids, and crisp highs with serious clarity. Equally at home on stage, in the studio, or at rehearsal, it offers commanding low-end response and headroom to spare.
\nParametric Mid Control and Bi-Amp Inspired Blend Circuit
\nUnlike many compact bass amps with fixed mid frequencies, this model features an active three-band EQ with a fully parametric midrange — you can boost or cut the mids and sweep through a wide frequency range to pinpoint the exact tone you want. Bi-amp inspired Blend and Gain controls let you dial in anything from subtle warmth to full-on overdrive while preserving the tightness and low-end power of your core tone. These circuits are footswitchable, drawing on technology lifted from the manufacturer's flagship 4 Stroke and OB1 series bass amps.
\nPower and Speaker Configuration — Deep Lows and Loud Headroom
\nThe power section and speaker choice define how an amp projects in a live room, and this combo is built to move serious air without losing definition.
\n- \n
- Output Power: 100 W — provides enough headroom for small gigs, rehearsals, and stage monitoring. \n
- Speaker Configuration: 15" custom driver — redesigned for classic bass tones with commanding low-end response. \n
- The front-ported cabinet enhances low-end projection and makes the combo sound physically bigger than its footprint. \n
Active EQ and Gain Circuit — Sculpt Your Signature Sound
\nGoing well beyond a standard three-band EQ, the tone-shaping section gives players surgical control over their midrange and a dedicated overdrive channel.
\n- \n
- Active 3-Band EQ: Bass, Middle, Treble — offers full tonal authority across the frequency spectrum. \n
- Parametric Mid Control: sweepable Frequency knob — pinpoint midrange character from vintage thump to modern growl. \n
- Footswitchable Blend and Gain circuit — blend clean and driven signals to keep low-end clarity while adding aggression. \n
Connections and Outputs — Studio-Grade DI and Silent Practice
\nModern bassists need flexible I/O for stage, studio, and home use, and this combo delivers a full suite of professional connections.
\n- \n
- Balanced XLR DI Output: studio-grade — send your signal directly to a PA or recording interface without coloration. \n
- Buffered Effects Loop: integrated — preserves tone integrity when running pedals between preamp and power section. \n
- CabSim headphone output with aux input and onboard chromatic tuner — silent practice, backing tracks, and tuning without extra gear. \n
Ideal for Working Bassists Who Need Power, Tone Control, and DI Connectivity
\nThis unit is the right choice for gigging bassists and session players who need 100 watts of analogue power, a parametric EQ for surgical tone shaping, and a balanced XLR DI for direct connection to a PA or recording desk. Players switching between clean fingerstyle tones, slap, rock grit, and modern overdriven sounds will appreciate the Blend and Gain circuit's ability to add drive without sacrificing low-end clarity. It's also well suited to bassists who practise at home late at night and want the CabSim headphone output for realistic silent playing.
\nOrange Amps — Born on Denmark Street, Built for Half a Century
\nOrange Amplifiers was founded in the late 1960s by Cliff Cooper, who ran a guitar shop on Denmark Street — London's legendary "Tin Pan Alley" of music stores. When Marshall refused to make him a dealer because another shop nearby already carried the brand, Cooper decided to build his own amplifiers, and the unmistakable aesthetic and tone were born. Early gear was quickly adopted by artists including Peter Green and the members of Free. The Crush Bass series draws on that heritage, with EQ circuits lifted from the brand's flagship 4 Stroke and OB1 series, and a CabSim headphone output designed to emulate the company's OBC bass cabinets.
