The Remo KS-0004-PH Falam Slam 4'' Single is designed mainly to protect drum heads from beater wear, not to change tone or dampen sound. When used on a cajon kick pedal pad, it may slightly alter the attack, making it a bit more focused and adding durability, but it will not cause any significant tonal change or noticeable damping effect.
