The Kenyan íon is an interchangeable drum head designed for your Iconic Cajon, drawing inspiration from the ‘Mshondo’ drum. The Mshondo is a tall, slender drum played by the Giriama tribe in Kenya, renowned for its beautiful, round sound.

Our interpretation of this tribal drum is crafted from untreated goatskin, carefully selected to produce a lower frequency response. This choice of material and construction allows the Kenyan íon to deliver deep, resonant tones that evoke the spirit of the Mshondo.
