Semi-Hollow Thinline Electric Guitar — Swamp Ash Body, HSS Pickups

The SX SEA1PH 3-Tone Sunburst is a semi-hollow thinline ST-model pairing a lightweight Swamp Ash body with a Canadian Hard Maple neck, delivering the airy resonance semi-hollow designs are known for. Built for players who want Strat-style ergonomics with the warmth of a chambered body, it arrives in a polished 3-Tone Sunburst finish. The HSS pickup configuration covers a wide tonal range, from bell-like cleans to thick humbucker-driven lead tones. The 648 mm scale length and 42 mm nut width follow familiar ST-model proportions.

What Makes This Thinline Stand Out

Few thinline guitars in this tier combine a genuine Swamp Ash body with a Wide-Range-style humbucker in the bridge position. The 3-Ply Mint Green pickguard, vintage-style synchronized tremolo, and sealed die-cast tuners with a 1:15 gear ratio give this model a stage-ready hardware package. A dual-action truss rod allows neck relief adjustment in both directions.

Body Construction — Swamp Ash Semi-Hollow Thinline

Swamp Ash is prized for its light weight, open grain, and balanced tonal response, producing bright highs, solid lows, and an expressive midrange. The semi-hollow thinline construction adds air and resonance while keeping feedback under control.

• The body is crafted from Swamp Ash, a lightweight tonewood with a bright, dynamic response.
• Body Type: Semi-Hollow Thinline, ST-Model — chambered body with central block
• Finish: Polished gloss — multi-layer lacquer protecting against dust and scratches
• Pickguard: 3-Ply Mint Green — classic contrast against the sunburst finish

Neck & Playability — Canadian Hard Maple

A bolt-on Canadian Hard Maple neck transfers string energy efficiently while resisting warping. The C-shaped profile suits a wide range of hand sizes, and the maple fingerboard adds brightness.

• Neck Material: Canadian Hard Maple — dense, stable wood
• Fingerboard: Maple — smooth surface, articulate tone
• Scale Length: 648 mm — standard ST-model scale
• Nut Width: 42 mm — comfortable for rhythm and lead
• Fingerboard Radius: 305 mm — flatter radius for bending
• Frets: 22 medium — versatile for chords and leads

Electronics & Hardware — HSS Pickups and Vintage Tremolo

The HSS configuration pairs a Vintage-Style Wide-Range Humbucking pickup at the bridge with two Vintage Alnico V Single Coil pickups, giving access to glassy cleans and fat humbucker lead tones.

• Bridge Pickup: Vintage-Style Wide-Range Humbucking — full, warm voice
• Middle & Neck Pickups: Vintage Alnico V Single Coil — bright clean tones
• Controls: 1 Volume, 2 Tone, 5-Way Switch — flexible tone shaping
• Tuners: Sealed Die-Cast, 1:15 ratio — stable tuning
• Bridge: 6-Saddle Vintage-Style Synchronized Tremolo — expressive vibrato
• Strings: Nickel Plated Steel, .009–.042 — light gauge

Who Is This Guitar For?

Guitarists who want the airy resonance of a semi-hollow body combined with the familiar feel of an ST-model will find this instrument a strong match. Intermediate players will find the C-shaped neck, 42 mm nut, and 22 medium frets welcoming. Gigging musicians benefit from sealed die-cast tuners and a dual-action truss rod. This instrument offers HSS flexibility.
