Soundking E07W Drum Microphone Kit

A set of microphones for drums. Contains 1x ED007 (bass drum), 2x ED012 (drums), 2x ED013 (drums), 2x ED018W (condenser overheads). The set comes without a case. All dynamic microphones have a stand holder directly integrated, so there is no need to carry them separately. Condenser microphones have holders included.

ED007 - bass drum
The microphone has a very high-quality design, thanks to its blue protective belt there is no need to worry about it. Frequency-wise, it is precisely designed for picking up a kick and, thanks to its large membrane, it dynamically covers all components, whether it is a blow to the membrane or the sound of "wood". It has a very high distortion limit, so even dynamic playing is recorded cleanly. It is possible to "throw" it inside the drum for filling.

2x ED012 –snare and higher tom tom
The microphones are designed directly to capture accurate and punchy sounds. By having a supercardioid characteristic, they do not pick up crosstalk from other drum parts and also have no problem with feedback. They work better at higher frequencies. They are also highly resistant to dynamic play, but they capture both frame play and whisk play just as well. In some cases, can also be used to sound a guitar combo, as it can withstand high acoustic pressure. There is an opportunity to experiment with the distance from the combo and thus achieve a spacious and pleasantly soft sound.

2x ED013 – lower tom tom and floor tom
The difference is in the design of the basket. Since it is wider, it is more intended for softer, lower frequencies. It captures more lower mids. In this way, we achieve a very pleasant, spatially balanced sound of the boiler and the lower-tuned transition, which makes it easier to separate them from the other parts of the drums. In terms of frequency, it is comparable to the SHURE BETA56A, which can withstand lower sound pressure. Can also handle very dynamic playing without distortion in the middle.

2x ED018W – overheads / cymbals / percussion / choirs
Their cardioid characteristic ensures a very good capture of everything that happens "under them", regardless of the nature of the ceiling and its reflections. The pleasantly tuned frequency characteristic for higher frequencies gives the drums clarity, the shot from 100 Hz prevents the "gong" effect and, together with the other microphones, creates a balanced overall frequency image. In smaller clubs, where the natural acoustics of the room are good, this microphone together with the kick drum will record the entire drum set with all the details. Another use of these microphones can be found in the sounding of percussion, choirs, etc. He is not afraid of the vocals, which he records with high details.
