Sela Harmony D Kurd 11+2 Handpan

Sela Harmony Handpan D Kurd 11+2 — Handcrafted Stainless Steel Handpan

Built around two hand-hammered stainless steel bowls, the Sela Harmony Handpan D Kurd 11+2 is tuned to the most widely used scale in the handpan world. The bowls are joined into an acoustic chamber and individually hammered to produce 13 precisely tuned notes. The 11+2 layout adds two extra bottom notes (F3 and G3) below the standard 9-note ring, expanding the harmonic palette for both meditative playing and structured composition. Built from corrosion-resistant stainless steel with a polished gold finish, this instrument performs reliably indoors and outdoors.

What Sets the Harmony Handpan Apart

Signature open tone comes from two hand-hammered stainless steel bowls joined into an acoustic chamber, with a resonance port on the underside that lets the sound breathe. Each tone field is individually shaped — smaller divots produce higher pitches — and the central note sits on a raised hump so players can feel the layout by touch. Stainless steel resists humidity and weather, so the drum can be played outdoors year-round without developing the patina that affects other finishes.
