The Digitech FreqOut is a natural feedback creator pedal delivering amplifier-style sustain at any volume, regardless of distortion. Designed for studio, in-ear monitor rigs, and quiet stages where real feedback is impossible, this model also tames runaway feedback into a preferred harmonic on loud stages.

Players benefit from real-time pitch detection that locks onto one of seven selectable feedback harmonic types — Sub, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, Nat Low, and Nat Hi. Keeping your dry tone intact when disengaged, the pedal offers a switchable true-bypass / buffered signal path.

Signal Flow & Connectivity

Connect with standard 1/4" TS instrument jacks, making it compatible with any guitar or bass rig. True bypass is active when off, while a buffered 1 kΩ output stage engages for signal integrity across long cable runs.

Controls & Operating Modes

Choose one of seven harmonic profiles using the Type knob, blend feedback with the dry tone via the Gain knob, and set onset speed with the Onset knob. Rear-panel switches allow toggling between momentary/latching footswitch modes and control dry-signal mixing.

Power, Conversion & Build

Thanks to 24-bit A/D/A conversion and a signal-to-noise ratio greater than -106 dB (A-weighted), the generated feedback remains clean. Drawing 235 mA from a 9 VDC adapter (sold separately), the unit is built into a robust steel chassis.
