Alison Krauss is an acclaimed American bluegrass and country musician, known for her skill as a singer, fiddler, and producer. Starting her career young, she released her first solo album at 16 and joined Union Station soon after, with whom she has performed for decades. Krauss has released 14 albums and contributed to celebrated soundtracks like O Brother, Where Art Thou and Cold Mountain, helping to popularize bluegrass music for new generations. Her collaboration with Robert Plant on the Grammy-winning album Raising Sand gained widespread acclaim. With 27 Grammy Awards to her name, she is one of the most awarded artists in Grammy history. Krauss has also received the National Medal of Arts and was inducted into the International Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame.
