Behringer B212XL EUROLIVE — Lightweight Passive PA Speaker for Live Sound

The Behringer B212XL EUROLIVE is a passive 800-watt 2-way loudspeaker for live performance, mobile DJ work, and small-venue playback. Inside the polypropylene cabinet sit a 12" long-excursion woofer and a 1.75" titanium-diaphragm compression driver, paired through an internal crossover. At 10.9 kg with recessed side handles, this model is built for crews who load in and out every night.

Custom-Engineered Transducers and Built-In Driver Protection

Both the LF and HF transducers are designed and built by Behringer specifically for this cabinet, rather than sourced as off-the-shelf parts. Integrated overload-protection circuitry monitors the HF driver and prevents distortion at the upper end of the frequency range, even when pushed toward the 800 W peak rating. The result is consistent playback during long sets and karaoke nights.

Driver Configuration — Full-Range Coverage from 65 Hz to 18 kHz

The 12" woofer moves serious air for low-end punch, while the 1.75" titanium compression driver keeps vocals and high-frequency detail articulate. A 90° x 60° dispersion horn spreads the signal evenly across a small room or outdoor audience.

• LF Driver: 12" (305 mm) long-excursion woofer — deep bass and acoustic power for live bands and DJs
• HF Driver: 1.75" (44 mm) titanium-diaphragm compression driver — crisp, transient-accurate highs for vocals and cymbals
• Frequency Range: 65 Hz – 18 kHz — full-range response covering speech, vocals, and music playback

Power Handling — 200 W Continuous, 800 W Peak

Program power handling of 200 W and peak handling of 800 W give the cabinet enough headroom for typical small-to-mid PA applications. The 8-ohm impedance pairs easily with a single power amplifier channel, and parallel inputs let users daisy-chain a second cabinet from the same amp output.

• Continuous Power: 200 W (IEC 60268-5) — sustained program material rating
• Peak Power: 800 W — headroom for transient peaks in vocals and kick drums
• Impedance: 8 ohms — standard for passive PA cabinets
• Sensitivity: 95 dB (Full Space) — efficient conversion of amplifier power into acoustic output

Cabinet Design and Connectivity — Built for the Road

The trapezoidal polypropylene enclosure weighs 10.9 kg and includes a 35 mm pole-mount socket plus a wedge angle for floor-monitor use. Recessed handles make one-handed carrying practical, and the parallel connector panel accepts both speakON plugs and standard 1/4" speaker cables.

• Cabinet Material: Polypropylene — durable, lightweight, and resistant to road wear
• Dimensions (H × W × D): 550 × 345 × 270 mm — fits on stands, atop subs, or in tight van space
• Weight: 10.9 kg — light enough for a single operator to load out
• Inputs: 1× speakON + 2× 1/4" TS (parallel-wired) — daisy-chain a second cabinet from one amp channel

Who the B212XL EUROLIVE Is For

The Behringer B212XL EUROLIVE is the right choice for mobile DJs, solo acoustic performers, small bands, and house-of-worship teams who need a lightweight passive cabinet paired with an external power amplifier. It works as a main PA for coffee-house gigs, conference rooms, and small club sets, and the wedge shape converts it into a stage monitor when laid on its side. For bass-heavy electronic music, pairing with a dedicated subwoofer extends the low end below the 65 Hz floor.
