Classic BOSS Tone with Modern Tap Tempo

The Boss DD-3T Digital Delay is the modernized reissue of the legendary DD-3, a pedalboard staple since 1986 and the successor to the DD-2, the world's first digital delay pedal from 1983. The DD-3T is the right choice for guitarists who want a workhorse delay with tap-tempo precision and the iconic BOSS sound.

Tap Tempo, Short Loop, and a Relocated Direct Out

What makes this pedal stand out is the onboard tap-tempo switch with three rhythmic subdivisions (quarter notes, dotted eighths, quarter-note triplets) accessible from the Mode knob. The Short Loop function—renamed from the original Hold feature—captures and continuously loops up to 800 ms of audio. The Direct Out jack has been relocated next to the main output for cleaner wet/dry cable routing.

Delay Time and Range — From Slapback to Ambient

Three delay ranges and a Time knob give players quick access to tight rockabilly slapback, classic rock lead tones, and chased-delay ambient textures.

• Delay Time Range: 12.5–800 ms — covers slapback through ambient repeats in one pedal
• Delay Ranges: 50 ms / 200 ms / 800 ms + Short Loop — three quick-select ranges for fast setup
• Tap Subdivisions: quarter note, dotted eighth, quarter-note triplet — set via the Mode knob

Controls and Connectivity — Simple Layout, Pro Routing

Four top-mounted knobs and a single footswitch keep operation fast on a crowded board, while the rear-panel jacks support advanced routing.

• Controls: Level, Feedback, Time, Mode — plus pedal switch and CHECK indicator
• Inputs/Outputs: INPUT, OUTPUT, DIRECT OUT, TEMPO jacks (1/4" phone type) — plus DC IN
• Bypass: Buffered bypass — preserves signal integrity in long cable runs

Power and Build — Tour-Ready Compact Stompbox

The DD-3T runs on a 9V battery or BOSS PSA-series AC adaptor, with a current draw that keeps it efficient for extended gigs. The compact chassis fits any pedalboard layout and is backed by BOSS's five-year warranty.

• Power Supply: 9V battery (alkaline) or PSA-series AC adaptor (sold separately)
• Current Draw: 70 mA — efficient operation for long sets
• Dimensions: 73 × 129 × 59 mm — compact stompbox footprint
• Weight: 420 g — including battery
