Korg RK-100S Keytar Red

Stylish keytar that is a revised version of the KORG RK-100 remote keyboard model which appeared in 1984 and broke the chains of keyboardists, setting them free to perform as they liked. With a stylish body, it allowed the keyboard player to challenge the vocalist or guitarist for the main role on stage. Now, it has been resurrected: although beautiful curved surfaces have been added, the essence of the original and very popular design is unchanged. What had been a somewhat large and heavy body has been made more compact and lightweight thanks to modern components such as a slim, 37-key, velocity-sensitive keyboard. The carefully made body consciously reflects the design of a guitar, projecting a timeless coolness that creates varying impressions depending on any angle of view. While the original required an external sound module, this model contains a built-in analogue modelling sound generator with two hundred sounds. Features and functions include two ribbon controllers (one short and one running the length of the keybed), an arpeggiator, and a vocoder, and there are also "favourite" buttons that allow user to register frequently-used sounds for one-touch selection. Other features include a mic/audio (dual-purpose) input jack, also usable with the vocoder function and a MIDI output jack that allows user to perform using an external sound module. The keytar operate on six AA alkaline batteries (included) and can be used with the PC editor for detailed sound program editing. A soft case and a strap are also included.
