It is equipped with large 1” condenser capsule with gold-plated membrane that is suspended inside the microphone using Rycote’s industry-leading Lyre system, minimizing external vibrations at the capsule level; and high-grade electronics that have been designed to provide the lowest noise level of any studio microphone available (self noise of only 4.5 dB). Tightly controlled cardioid polar pattern further minimises spill and feedback. Body of the microphone is machined from 6061 aluminium, then nickel-plated for resistance against corrosion and coated in a durable, military-grade ceramic layer, using advanced electrostatic application techniques. Microphone is equipped with a balanced, low-impedance XLR output (100 Ohm), and supplied with SMR shock mount that features a unique double-Lyre suspension system, enhancing the existing superior vibration cancellation, and removable all-metal pop filter.
