Virus is an influential Argentine new wave band, formed in 1979. Originally fronted by Federico Moura until his passing in 1988, the band was later led by his brother Marcelo. Known for their fresh sound that marked a shift from traditional rock, Virus became a key figure of the 1980s Argentine music scene alongside bands like Soda Stereo. Roberto Jacoby was responsible for their lyrics from the start. Some of their most popular songs include Amor Descartable, Wadu Wadu, Hay que salir del agujero interior, Una luna de miel en la mano, Qué hago en Manila, Sin Disfraz, Imágenes paganas, and Mirada Speed. Their final performance was in 1990, supporting David Bowie.
